Welcome to the Oops Bag

Hi! This is Aly and I'm writing the first ever post on Oops Bag!  My sister Jill and I decided to start this blog to document our love for cooking and inventing recipes and basically whatever other interesting or beautiful things we find around. We'll be posting some traditional recipes, some we've adjusted, and some we've made up, all of which have been tried by us. Most of our ingredients will be homegrown or organic which is always the best option but store bought is perfectly fine. We would appreciate feedback on our recipes or any alterations you might create. Hope you enjoy!

Sweet and Simple Tomato Sauce:
(serves 2)
This sauce was created late one night when I was starving and wanted something easy and delicious to eat that was not ramen noodles (which is both simple and delicious but filled with nasty things). Of course, Jill thought to add the honey which gives the sauce a sweet surprise.

INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp minced garlic
1.5 tbsp of unsalted butter
2 splashes of cheap white zinfandel wine
1 medium, ripe beefsteak tomato, chopped (keep juice)
1 spoon of clover honey
salt and pepper to taste (preferably with garlic salt)
fresh basil (amount varies to what taste you want)
 PROCEDURE
brown garlic lightly with a half tbsp of butter in a saucepan
add wine and simmer for 2 minutes.
add diced tomato with juices and salt and pepper.
add honey after another 2 minutes.
cover and let everyone get to know each other in the pot.
add basil, scoop over pasta, top with cheese.
